Emma Rigby (Born 26th September 1989, in St Helens, Merseyside) is an actress best known for her role in Hollyoaks as Hannah Ashworth. She is represented by Octagon agency. She went to De La Salle High School in St Helens, but left in 2006. She took her GCSEs in 2006 and received 9 A's despite her heavy Hollyoaks filming schedule. She has also appeared in Brookside as Elena Jones and Born and Bred as Lisa Gunstone. Emma Rigby was nominated as Best Actress in the British Soap Awards 2007 for her part as Hannah Ashworth in Hollyoaks. She was Nominated as Best Actress in British Soap Awards 2008, and won this Major British Television Award.
